Azumacole begins in Nakong. Its vision is to connect Ghanaian shea with global markets while helping opportunity take root locally.
The beginning

Azumacole Global Limited is a registered Ghanaian business founded to grow, process and eventually export shea and shea ingredients.
The project has begun with a 20 acre plantation in Nakong, in the Kassena Nankana West District of Ghana’s Upper East Region. Seedling establishment is the foundation of an investment intended to develop over many years.
The company’s vision brings together sustainable cultivation, future processing capacity and work that creates opportunities for women and young people. As the project develops, the aim is to retain more value locally and build relationships with manufacturers abroad.
Our community purpose runs alongside our commercial plans: education, healthcare, environmental regeneration and practical improvements shaped by local priorities.

Meet Denisia.
Denisia’s vision for Azumacole combines long term commercial ambition with care for the community.
She wants to build a business through which local people can gain skills, earn an income and see a future for themselves in Nakong. Her approach is patient and purposeful: establish the plantation, develop the right foundations and grow responsibly.
Compassion and commitment to shared prosperity sit at the heart of that vision. Success means a stronger business, healthier land and more opportunity for the people around it.

Azumacole has received seedlings and technical guidance on cultivation, land management and farm maintenance. That support is helping the team develop the knowledge needed for a project designed to endure.
