Our impact

Shared prosperity.
With roots in Nakong.

Our aim is to build lasting economic opportunity while supporting the land, skills and services a community needs to thrive.

Why opportunity matters

A future that can
be built at home.

Nakong sits within Ghana’s Upper East Region, where the need for pathways into work is an important part of the development picture.

Our project is designed to open opportunities in cultivation, plantation maintenance and, as the business grows, processing and related skilled roles.

Our priorities

Invest in what lasts.

01

Land and ecological stewardship

Establish and nurture shea trees, care for existing vegetation and develop responsible land management. Soil health, biodiversity and resilience are central to the environmental ambition.

Environmental
02

Work, skills and fair opportunity

Create pathways for women and young people to earn, train and progress as the project develops. Future processing capacity can add technical, quality, maintenance and logistics roles.

Economic
03

Education and healthcare

Direct community investment towards education and health priorities identified with local people and relevant organisations.

Community
04

Practical foundations

Develop worker accommodation alongside the factory plans, and consider the supporting services and access needed for a remote project.

Our community commitment

Growth that
gives back.

We are committed to allocating up to 10% of annual profit to education, healthcare, environmental regeneration and community priorities.

Investment will be guided by local needs and the company’s financial capacity. As profit is generated and funds are allocated, we intend to report the amount contributed and the projects supported.

Measuring progress

Make the purpose
visible in the results.

Our intended reporting approach separates the work carried out from the benefits achieved.

Land & trees

Area under stewardship, seedlings established and survival over time.

People & skills

Jobs created, participation by women and young people, training and progression.

Local economic value

Wages paid, local procurement and the development of processing capacity.
